Alice "Faye" Chapman Butler

Alice "Faye" Chapman Butler, age 79 formerly of North Dr. passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 16, 1941 in Lincoln County to the late Charles William and Ruby Smith Chapman. She was a former cashier at Roses and KFC and served at Cherryville Area Ministries. Faye was a member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church and attended North Brook Baptist Church. She could typically be found reading her bible, serving in her church, and seeking the Lord constantly through prayer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Grady Marshall Butler; twin sister, Kaye McKown; and brothers, John and Steve Chapman.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Willis and husband, Randy; daughter, Leisa Marsh; son, Marshall Gene Butler; grandchildren, Hannah Simmons (Jacob), Sara Peeler (Josh), Kyle Willis, Ashley Calabrese (Wes), Kimberley Goodman (Jamey), Jessica Gold, Laura Moreno, and Jay Butler; great grandchildren, Alisia Gold, Keegan Calabrese, Colt Goodman, Grant Goodman, Lucus Willis, Avan Calabrese, and Jaxon Peeler; and nieces and nephews, Melinda Greenwood, Sue Owens, David Chapman, Bill Chapman, Bobby Chapman, Robin Hamrick, Angie Bumgarner, Larry Chapman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church Rev. Bob Wise officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Butler will lie-in-state Monday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at the church prior to the service.
