Mrs. Alice Pearson Connor, 90, resident of Kings Mtn., NC, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010. Services were held at East Gold St. Wesleyan Church. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.
Mrs. Connor was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Adam E. “Jim” Connor; her parents, William “Bud” and Mullie Wallace Pearson; 1 daughter, Dorthea Lyrene Connor, 3 brothers, James “Jim” Pearson, Robert Lee Pearson and William Pearson; and 1 sister, Annie Dellinger.
She is survived by 3 sons, Buddy W. Connor of Wilkesboro, NC, Gene Connor and wife Marietta of Danville, VA and Nelson Connor and wife Hallie of Kings Mountain, NC; 2 daughters, Grace C. Weaver and husband John of Shelby, NC, and Kimberly Connor-McCormick and husband Steve of Clover, SC; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives.
