Blacksburg -- Allen Keith Earls, 59, of 431 North Charleston Street, Blacksburg, passed away Monday, January 7th, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Earls was the son of the late Dwain and Helen Ruth Ramsey Earls. He worked in maintenance in the textile industry and was a member of Broad River Baptist Church .
Mr. Earls is survived by one daughter, Angelina Kay Earls of Gaffney; one sister, Cathy Spencer and husband Mike of Blacksburg; one niece, Lorrie Smith and husband Bo of Gaffney; one nephew, Brian Spencer and wife Tonya of Lexington, SC; Aunt and Uncle Linda and Robbie Northey of Blacksburg, and Aunt Dot Martin of Gaffney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Kay Earls.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church in Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10th, at 3:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Philbeck and Rev. Rich Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Spencer, Bo Smith, Danny Spencer, David Benton, Thomas Starnes, and Donnie Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Spencer, Amiel Patterson, Jeff Roberts, Jerry E. Martin, Keith Barnes, Leon Patterson, Wayne Roark, Verdell Earls, and Mike Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Audio/Visual Fund, Broad River Baptist Church, 419 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
The family will be at the residence of Cathy and Mike Spencer, 501 West Lime Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
