Mr. Alvin Armon “Doc” Bridges, 82, of Shelby, NC passed away Friday, October 8, 2010. Services were held at Zoar Baptist Church, Shelby. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mr. Bridges served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Bridges; 1 brother, Malvin Bridges, and 1 sister, Maxine Peeler.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Bridges of Shelby; his mother, Mittie Humphries Bridges of Shelby; 2 sons, Michael Bridges and wife Mary Ann of Oak Hill, VA, and David Bridges and wife Martha of Shelby; 1 brother, Calvin “Bud” Bridges and wife Mary Faye of Shelby; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
