Amanda Lea Jones, 28, of Ridge Avenue died Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was born in Cleveland County to James Lee "Jimmy" and Pamela Jean Taylor Jones of Cherryville. She was a graduate of Cherryville High School and had attended Cleveland Community College. Amanda was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting, music and spending time with her family. Her greatest passion was caring for her children. She was a wonderful mother to Stacee and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James L. Jones.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Jamey Wright of Cherryville; children, Stacee Brooklyn Wright and Jacob Allen Wright; sister, Crystal Jean Jones; paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Champion of Moorseboro; maternal grandparents, David and Peggy Taylor of Oak Island; aunts, Jane Jones of Mooresboro and Marie Jones of Cherryville; uncle, Bryan Taylor of Shelby; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Dr. Ervin Price officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at Pam and Jimmy's, 138 Ben Carpenter Rd.
