Ann Nichols Conley, age 79, died Friday, March 3, 2017 at Peak Resources in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on January 24, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Wilburn Moss Nichols. Ann was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was the church organist for a number of years, a member of the Mission Actions Group, and the Louie Allen Sunday School Class. She worked as a secretary for Shelby Savings, Sarah Strain Reality, and retired from Hamrick's Kids of Gaffney. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Rufus Conley

Ann is survived by her children; a son, Wayne Conley of Earl; a daughter, Lisa Simpson and husband Gary of Earl; 10 grandchildren, Nikki Moore, Nick Putnam, Cayce Renfroe, Cale Conley, Marybeth Conley Chase McDaniel, Harley Simpson, Jay Simpson, Alexis Simpson, and Kimmie Simpson.

Funeral service will be held Sunday 3:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Russ Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00 - 3:00pm in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
