| Mrs. Ann Rygel Proctor, 90, of Shelby, died on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cambria County, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anastasia Rygel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Frieda Kendrick Proctor; six brothers and two sisters. She was a member of St. John Orthodox Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Proctor was a retired secretary in the operating room of Cleveland Regional Medical Center where she was affectionately known as “Mama Proctor”.
Mrs. Proctor is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lawrence Proctor Sr; a son Larry Proctor, wife Sarah and her son David Vanhoy and his wife Kellie Vanhoy of Shelby; a sister Anastasia Rzesut of Pennsylvania and a brother Andrew Rygel wife Mazie of Pennsylvania as well as many special nieces and nephews. .
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Proctor will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 3:00PM at the chapel of Cecil M Burton Funeral Home with burial immediately following in the Zion Baptist Church cemetery. Dr. Tim Elmore will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00PM prior to the service at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home.
