Annetta Jean Hughes Davis

Boiling Springs -- Annetta Jean Hughes Davis, 80, of 133 Suffolk Road, passed away Tuesday, September 18th, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Rockwood, TN, she was the widow of Denzil F. Davis and the daughter of the late James Hughes and Lottie Hughes. She loved her family and was a devoted wife and housewife until her husband passed after sixty-one years of marriage. Mrs. Davis was a faithful member of North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church for over fifty years. During her time there, she was a member of the Ladies Auxillery, and she previously taught the Primary Class, Beginner Class, and the Nursery.

Surviving Mrs. Davis are her children, Terry Davis and wife, Donna, Marcia McElrath and husband, John, Peggy Bryant and husband, Gus, Lesa Varner and husband, Phil, and Danny Davis; one brother, Clay Hughes and wife, Lois; three sisters, Tina Wills, Carold Elizabeth Adkins, and Jennie Buck; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, from 11:00am - 12:00pm at North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church, 145 Belcher Road Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Sammy Sutton officiating and her godson, Rev. Sean Fortner and Mrs. Gean Dotson assisting. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Austin, Matthew, Chase, Cody, Andy, and Alex.

Memorials may be made to North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church, 145 Belcher Rd, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

The family will be at their respective homes.
