Annette Hawkins Cabaniss

GROVER- Annette Hawkins Cabaniss, 75, of 921 Longbranch Road, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late William Boyce and Ocie Baker Gantt. She was a member of Zion Baptist and retired from the Cleveland County School System where she worked in the cafeteria and drove a bus for Union Elementary School.

PRECEDED: in addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beattie Cabaniss and one brother, Bill Gantt.

SURVIVED: she is survived by one son, Scott Cabaniss and wife Nicci ; one daughter, Cindy Thompson and husband Clay all of Kings Mountain; five sisters, Wilma Toney and husband Joel of Boiling Springs, Ruby Gailey and husband Jerry of Commerce, GA, Jeane Toney and husband James of Hollis, Donna Quinn and husband Roger of Gaffney; two brothers, Roger Gantt and wife Faith of Shelby and Joey Gantt of Hickory; four grandchildren, Jason Cabaniss, Sherri Cabaniss, Heather Sircey, and Lyndsay Henderson; two great grandchildren, Braylyn and Bryten Sircey; and several other family members.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Friday 2:00pm in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

VISITATION: the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00pm at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Matt Storie will officiate

BURIAL: Burial will be in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
