Annie Mae Phillips Hutchins, age 85 passed away Saturday March 24, 2018 at Oakland Living Center in Rutherfordton, NC. A native of Rutherford County she is the daughter of the late Armel and Winnie Tipton Phillips and widow of William Dennis Hutchins, Sr.

Mrs. Hutchins was a graduate of the Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing and worked at Rutherford Hospital, Rutherford OB/GYN and White Oak Manor. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons - Bill Hutchins and his wife Ann of Bostic, NC, Joe Hutchins and his wife Robin of Boiling Springs, SC, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 3 PM Monday March 26, 2018 at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery 4344 US Hwy 64, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with Rev. Mike Haire officiating.
