Annie Mae Rhoney Huffman
 Annie Mae Rhoney Huffman, 89, of 8802 Cooksville Road, Vale, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at her residence.

Born May 5, 1925 in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie William Rhoney and Hattie Lucinda Willis Rhoney.  She was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday school in her younger years. She was a caregiver for her elderly parents in the last ten years of their lives. She raised five children while taking care of her parents and also looped socks in their home. She took many trips after her retirement and loved working in her flower garden. She received many compliments about her pretty flowers on her porch.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Howard Huffman; six brothers, Franklin, Burgess, Wilmur, Charlie Hugh, Perlie, & C.W. Junior, three sisters, Florence, Geneva, & Clara, and one grandchild, Lorraina Huffman.

Survivors include five children, Margaret McIntosh & husband, Ronald of Morganton, Cecil Huffman & wife, Kathy of Lawndale, Rita Norman & husband, Thad of Vale, Gail Reichard & husband, Don of Newton, Linda Dellinger and
friend, Don of Newton, eleven grandchildren, Shane & Shawn Brittain, Tim, Nathan, & Matt Huffman, Jennifer Pittman, Jeremy Norman, Jason & Jessica Reichard, Tana Abee, and Carrie Ramsey, sixteen great grandchildren, Emily,
Ethan, Sara, & Caleb Brittain, Kimberly Perkins, Josh, Parker, Bryson, McKinley, Natelle, and Lisandro Huffman, Gabe Norman, Ethan Reichard, Bre & Desi Abee, and Nicholus Dellinger, three sisters-in-law, Mildred Rhoney and
Inez Rhoney both of Vale and Essie Huffman of Charlotte; two special caregivers, Amanda Norman and Madessa of Hospice, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 4:00PM until 6:00PM Sunday January 4, 2015 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Funeral Service: 3:00PM Monday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. The grandsons will be the pallbearers for Mrs. Huffman. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Officiating:  Rev. Tony Sayer

Burial: will follow in the church cemetery.
