Cleveland Community College is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $1.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support the expansion and renovation of the Bailey Allied Health and Science Center, increasing the college's capacity to train the next generation of healthcare professionals.

he Earl Scruggs Center and American Songcatcher are pleased to announce Roots Music Revue, a new live music and storytelling series debuting this fall. Produced in partnership with host Nicholas Edward Williams and regional public radio station WNCW 88.7, the series will bring audiences into the Great Hall at the Earl Scruggs Center for the live recording of a radio-style program exploring the people, places, and traditions that shape American roots music.

Rocket was adopted as a puppy, but his family recently returned him because he became reactive toward their other dog. Since returning, his foster has been working with him. While he is still dog-reactive, he responds exceptionally well to his handler. If he reacts to another dog, he redirects and calms almost immediately with a command.

Shelby American Legion Post 82 installed new officers at its July meeting.
