Northside Baptist Church
Friday, May 28th at 9:00 pm is Movie Night at the church. The movie, “The Ride”, will be showing outside in the front parking lot. All are welcome and refreshments will be served. Living Hope Christian Fellowship Youth will be having a Fundraiser on Saturday, May 29 from 8 am until 12 pm... They will be having a Car Wash, Hotdogs for sale and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for sale. Polkville United Methodist Church
Boy Scout Troop 114 of Polkville is hosting a car wash, biscuit and hotdog sale on Saturday, May 29th. Proceeds will help send our boys to camp this year. We will start selling biscuits and washing cars at 8am and selling hotdogs at 10:30 until 2pm.
Crossroads Baptist Church
Our church will have a Fundraiser Barbeque at the North Brook Community Center, Saturday, May 29th, from 10 am until 8 pm. Plates include: chopped barbeque and sauce, picles, baked beans, choice of barbeque slaw or coleslaw, choice of buns or hushpuppies, drinks and homemade desserts. Central United Methodist Church, Shelby
The Methodist Men at Shelby’s Central United Methodist Church will hold its annual BBQ on Sunday, May 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Adult plates including BBQ, sauce, slaw, baked beans, bun and a brownie are $8.00 and whole Boston Butts with the trimmings for $35.00). Christ for the Nations International Church
Christ for the Nations International Church will host a “Water for Life” fundraiser on Tuesday, June 8th from 4:30 pm - 10:00 pm at Pizza Inn (located on Highway 74; 127 E. Dixon Blvd., Shelby). Christ for the Nation’s mission team, composed of Pastor Michael Gullatee, Latarsha Gullatte, Larry Forbush, and James King will travel to Benin, West Africa, along with Global Aid Network (G.A.I.N.) in a concentated effort to drill a well for the people of Benin. Not only will their efforts produce fresh drinking water, but they will also assemble and dedicate a building to be used as a Christian Worship Center. Please support this worthy cause. The Pizza Inn will donate a portion of the proceeds to Christ for the Nation’s Missions Team. All tips will also be donated to the event.
Kadesh United Methodist Church
Our church will have a Fundraiser for Jeannie Beam, “Red”, to help with medical bills, Saturday, June 12th from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall. Dover Baptist Church
Our church will be having a Church-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, June 12th in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 7:00 am. We will also have Ham, Sausage and Livermush biscuits for sale, along with coffee or soft drink. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of food for the children and adults who will attend Vacation Bible School in June. The church is located at 1501 Polkville Rd., Shelby. ALSO: Saddle Up and Hit the Trail on Saddle Ridge Ranch. In this one-week adventure you will round up questions and drive home answers through Bible stories, crafts, motivating music and games. The adventure begins for children ages 3 to grade 6. An adult class will also be held. VBS will be held June 14 - 17 and on June 18, End of Week Picnic – 5:15 - 6:00 pm Supper – 6:00 - 8:30 m Vacation Bible School at the church.
