A car seat safety check will be held Oct. 20 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Double Springs Baptist Church. Anyone transporting children are invited to bring your car with the car seat or booster seat and have it checked by experts to make sure it is safely installed. This is open to the public and is free of charge. This event is sponsored by the Health Ministry of Double Springs with the cooperation of Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Flu shots will be given Oct. 21 at Double Springs Baptist Church family life center from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The cost is $29.95 unless a person has Medicare Part B. Disaster Preparedness: Double Springs Baptist Church will host a program on disaster preparedness for churches Sunday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. Sherry Yocum, Cleveland County Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, will be the speaker in the church family life center. Men’s Night Out: Double Springs Baptist Church Annual Men’s Night Out will be held Monday, November 15 at the church. Dinner begins at 6:00 pm. The cost is $10. Registration must be made by calling the church at 704-434-2258.

Beaver Dam Baptist Church

Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 123 Beaver Dam Church Road, Shelby, will be having a Prophecy Conference on October 22 - 24. Dr. Dan Goldberg, a Messianic Jew, will be the guest speaker.
