Zoar Baptist Church, 1740 South Lafayette, Shelby, NC, will be setting up the Seven Stations of the Cross, on Good Friday, April 3, 2015, in the Church's Family Life Center, from 8:00am - 8:00pm. Each station is a guided prayer meditation. You can drop in any time during those hours and walk through at your own pace. You should be able to complete the journey in 30 to 45 minutes. For hundreds of years the Church has been reflecting on the meaning of Jesus' death using this guided meditation. Station One - Jesus in the Upper Room. Station Two - Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Station Three - Jesus Betrayed by Judas and Peter. Station Four - Jesus before the Sanhedrin Council and Pilate. Station Five - Jesus' Words from the Cross. Station Six - Jesus' Death. Station Seven - Jesus' Burial. This will be a moving experience for anyone who takes advantage of it. It is a wonderful activity for individuals or families.
