Friendship United Methodist Church, Fallston
       Friendship United Methodist Church invites children to Kingdom Kids, a Wednesday night children’s ministry. Bring your child for Bible lessons, music and lots of fun. Pleasant Hill U.M.C., Casar
   Pleasant Hill U.M.C. will hold a Country Ham Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, August 20, 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Price: Adults $6.00; Children $4.00; Under 6 eat Free! Proceeds go to the church budget. They will be serving: Scrambled eggs, country ham, bacon, sausage, livermush, pancakes, gravy, grits, bis-

Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Lawndale
   Oak Grove United Methodist Church @ 418 Oak Grove Clover Hill Ch Rd Lawndale will be having it’s Annual All You Can Eat Cookout (Hamburgers and Hotdogs with all the trimmings) and Homemade Ice Cream Fundraiser on Sunday August 21st from 12:30pm until. Zoar Baptist Church, Casar
  Zoar Baptist Church will hold a Back-2-School Bash on Saturday, August 20, 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Come and enjoy the fun while competing for prizes, eating ice cream or socializing with other students! School supplies will be given away. There will be a special guest speaker for this event. The movie “Soul Surfer” will also be showing. Best of all, everything is FREE. We look forward to seeing you! Peoples Baptist Church, Kings Mountain
   Peoples Baptist Church will present a special program on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. on “The Synoptic Gospels”. Element Church, Forest City
   Todd Agnew, MSF, and Radford will be featured in concert on Sunday, August 21st at Element Church in Forest City. Doors will open at 6 pm and the concert will begin at 6:30. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased through itickets.com or the Element Church office or on Sundays after the morning worship service at Element. Profits from the concert will go to fund the Hope Project, a new ministry of Element Church designed to bring hope to the homeless and unemployed of Rutherford County.    The Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Education Conference - Sept. 15 - Flint Hill Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. This full day conference will feature a variety of speakers on topics related to caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or related dementia. Community resources will be available to answer questions and offer information. Target audience includes family caregivers, professional
caregiver, faith community members and anyone interested in learning more about the disease. Cost $10 per person.
Friendship UMC Community Meal, Fallston
  Friendship United Methodist will have their monthly community meal on Thursday, September 8th from 5:30 until 6:30 pm. The meal is served in the basement.
