Lily Memorial Baptist Church will hold their Vacation Bible School “Big Apple Adventure” on July 25-29 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Classes for 2 year olds thru 6th grade. Dinner is provided. Kickoff event/registration will be Saturday, July 23rd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Snowballs, popcorn, water, slides and crafts will be available.

Duncan’s Creek Presbyterian Church will be selling Boston Butts to be picked up on August 6, 2011 between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.. The orders will be $35.00 each and will include Boston Butts, 1 pint slaw, 1 pint sauce and 12 buns. Also: cakes, pies and tea will be sold seperately. This full day conference will feature a variety of speakers on topics related to caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or related dementia. Community resources will be available to answer questions and offer information. Target audience includes family caregivers, professional caregiver, faith community members and anyone interested in learning more about the disease. Cost $10 per person.
