Westwood Heights Baptist Church WMU, 5th Annual “Ladies Spring Luncheon”, will be Saturday, May 3, 11:30am, at NC Baptist Men’s Camp, S. Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC. Hot Dog Plate Sale: plates consists of 2 hot dogs fixed (your way) chips and dessert. Dine in or carry out - carry out no drink. Eat in a drink is furnished, $6 a plate. Deliveries for five or more orders. All proceeds go to Pam Whittington for medical expenses. Entertainment on grounds: Keith Ramey Band and some other groups. Bring your lawn chairs.

Central United Methodist Church, 113 S. Piedmont Ave., Kings Mountain NC, is having a breakfast, Saturday, May 3, 6:00am until 10:00am. It will be a country style buffet (all you can eat). We will have eggs, grits, biscuits, toast, bacon, sausage, country ham, liver mush and gravy. Drinks: coffee both full flavor and caffeine free, juice, milk, and soft drinks. We only ask for a $6 donation, children 6 and under are free. Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, Lawndale
Friendly Chapel Baptist Church will hold their annual Homecoming, Sunday, May 4. They welcome old friends to come back and new friends to come visit to share a meal and fellowship.
