Washington Missionary Baptist Church, Waco
        Washington Missionary Baptist Church feeds about 4,000 clients a month in their outreach ministry. They are in dire need of a panel van to be donated to their non-profit ministry for transportation of food products. Hunger is a major problem in Cleveland County. Please partner with them and help them to secure this van to feed the hungry of Cleveland County.

        Aldersgate United Methodist Church is having a breakfast the second Saturday of each month, 7-9:30 am. We serve eggs, grits, sausage gravy, pancakes, and french toast (made to order), country ham, sausage, bacon, and livermush with coffee and juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children. All you can eat. Money goes to our building fund and is sponsored by The United Methodist men’s and women’s groups.

Community Wide Thanksgiving Service, Sulphur Springs UMC
        Township Three will sponsor a community wide Thanksgiving service that will take place at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, 1642 Sulphur Springs Road, Wednesday, November 21, 7:00pm. Pastors, other staff members and musicians from the participating churches will participate in the worship service. Men’s choirs from Crossroad Rescue Mission will also bring special music. A special offering will be received and given to Duke Energy Match Fund will be used to assist needy families with fuel cost during the winter. The public is invited to participate in this special event that takes place every year.
Word of Deliverance Church, SC

Handel’s Messiah at Ambassador Baptist College
        The public is cordially invited to kick off the Christmas season with Ambassador Baptist College’s annual presentations of George Freidrich Handel’s Messiah. On Friday, November 23, and Saturday, November 24, the college chorale and selected soloists will be singing excerpts of this Baroque masterpiece, as well as additional Christmas selections. The doors will open each night at 6:15pm, and the concert will start at 7:00pm. Both concerts will be held in the R.A. Torrey Auditorium and are free of charge. Songs include For Unto Us A Child Is Born, Worthy Is the Lamb, and the world-famous Hallelujah Chorus. Please plan to come early since seating is limited. A nursery for young children will be provided. At the conclusion of the concert, a love offering will be received. Ambassador Baptist College is a private, four-year college dedicated to training young people for the ministry. Double Springs Baptist Church Singing Christmas Tree
        Double Springs Baptist Church, 1130 Double Springs Church Road, just off Washburn Switch Road, near Lattimore, will be having their annual “Singing Christmas Tree”, Friday-Sunday, November 23-25. Dozens of singers blend with voices from tiers of a Christmas tree built to the ceiling of the church sanctuary and decorated with hundreds of twinkling lights. The lyrics and the narration bring the message of Christmas while the musical accompaniment stirs the heart. The long-hour service begins each evening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free of charge but are required by calling the church at 704-434-2258 (leave a message if there is no answer).

        Sandy Plains Baptist Church, 2112 New House Road, Shelby, will be presenting “Come to Bethlehem”, an outdoor Christmas drama which honors our Lord’s Nativity, Friday-Sunday, December 7-9, 6:00pm - 8:00pm. This drama is a walk through experience where all “pilgrim” visitors actually pass through fifteen separate, realistic areas that would have existed in the ancient city of Bethlehem. We have devoted many weeks to the physical construction of the areas and more than 120 of our church family and friends portray characters in the Bethlehem village.
