The Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, Forest City
        The Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church of Forest City, 1938 Hwy. 221-A, in the Caroleen community, is sponsoring a benefit Poor Man Supper Friday, October 25,  beginning at 4:00pm. This is a fundraising project to help cancer patient David Scoggins with medical expenses. The meal will consist of Pinto beans, white beans, turnip greens, cooked cabbage, liver mush, bologna, creamed potatoes, slaw, deviled eggs, cornbread, biscuits, dessert, drink, all for a donation of $6 or more. First Baptist Church, Bessemer City
        First Baptist Church in Bessemer City is hosting it’s 3rd annual Cruisin’ to the Cross Car, Truck & Bike Show on October 26, 10:00am to 3:00pm. Awards given for best of show car, truck and motorcycle, Top 50, preachers pick, people’s choice, youth pick, tallest truck, rattiest rat rod and MORE! The contemporary Christian band, Blood Bought band will take the stage at 11:00am. Food served during show, door prizes to be given out and a silent auction will be held. McBrayer Springs Presbyterian Church, Shelby
        McBrayer Springs Presbyterian Church, 1903 McBrayer Springs Road (intersection of Zion Church Road and McBrayer Springs Road), Shelby will be hosting its First Annual Missions Conference, Saturday, October 26. A free dinner, 6:00pm, followed by Worship Service, 7:00pm. The Rev. Dr. Harry Reeder, the Senior Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, AL, will be keynote speaker. Presenting information about their Missions Projects will be Jennifer Comer Prince and Jim and Wanda Ramsey. Dessert and fellowship will follow the service.
        Sunday, October 27, a time of fellowship, 9:45am prior to the Worship Service at 11:00am. Delivering Message will be the Rev. Tom Osterhaus, a former Missionary, College Professor and PCA Pastor. Free dinner will follow worship service.

Second Baptist Church, Kings Mountain
        The children’s Ministry of Second Baptist Church, 120 Linwood Road, Kings Mountain, NC is inviting children age 12 and under, along with their parents or caretakers to a free and safe alternative to trick or treat on Halloween. The event is called Creation Station and will take place on Thursday October 31, in the Life Enrichment Center behind the Church. 6:30pm until 8:00pm. Kids and their parents will get to walk through and learn about the days of Creation in a fun way, and then celebrate with food, drink and cupcakes. This is a wonderful way to help indoctrinate children into the truth about God’s miracles of creation and hopefully give them a desire to come back to the Church for other opportunities to learn about Jesus and His offer of salvation for an eternity in Heaven. Adults of the children’s Ministry will be on hand to guide children and their parents through the stages of creation, and they’ll be offering fun games with candy prizes to assist in the teaching.
