Arthur Lee Davis, known by all as "Buddy" went to walk the streets of gold
on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Buddy was born August 2, 1936 in Cleveland County.
Growing up in Shelby, NC he met the love of his life and they started a
family. In the 1960's he moved his family to Charlotte, NC and finally
planted roots in Kannapolis, NC.

Buddy's Christian beliefs led him to be a member of many churches. He
enjoyed being a salesman and was still actively working up to his last days.
In his spare time he loved to travel, singing to his daughters and filling
week- ends with dancing. All who knew Buddy, knew of his generosity to
others. He made people laugh constantly by sharing a joke.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas Walker and Bessie
Davis; three brothers and one sister; wife Betty Davis; daughter, Gloria
Long; son, Thomas Lee Davis and grandson, JD Mercado.

He is survived by daughters, April Davis of Kannapolis, Charlotte Davis and
husband Waylon Barber of Kannapolis, Gloria Mercado of Shelby;
grandchildren, Kimberly Stegall of Ash, NC, Shellie Williams, Summer Peugh
and husband Matthew, Tyler Lee Davis all of Kannapolis.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2016 at
Stamey - Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the Stamey - Tysinger Funeral
Home Chapel with Pastor Mitchell Cook officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a member of the immediate family
