Mr. Arthur Ray Ledbetter, 85, of 1451 Maple Springs Church Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010. Services were held at Flint Hill Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors. 

Mr. Ledbetter served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert G. and Maxie Pearson Ledbetter; 2 brothers, Everette Ledbetter and Travis Ledbetter; and 1 sister, Nellie Weaver.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Geneva Blanton Ledbetter of the home; 2 sons, Roger Ledbetter and wife Annie of Shelby and Phil Ledbetter of Lattimore; 2 daughters, Freida Clouse and husband Rod of Boiling Springs and Gloria Patterson and husband Albert of Shelby; 2 brothers, Bob Ledbetter and wife Betty, and Sherill Ledbetter, all of Shelby; 1 sister, Brenda Bettis and husband Austell Bettis III of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.
