| At The Foothills Farmers Market this Sat., Aug. 14th! |

Despite the heat and dry weather, local farmers are delivering plenty of fresh produce to Foothills Farmers' Market. Visit us on Saturday, August 14 for some tasty fruits & vegetables including tomatoes (standard & heirloom varieties), pepper (bell, sweet & hot), okra, squash, zucchini, watermelon, cantaloupe, peas, potatoes, sweetpotatoes, and honey. There is also a nice selection of personal care items, yummy baked goods, and homemade spreads. Be sure to try some of our free food samples fresh off the grill.
This Saturday offers some added fun, including watermelon eating and seed spitting contests (for children & adults) and some interesting craft demonstrations. Greg Traywick will be caning chairs. If you have an old chair that needs a new seat, bring it with you to the market and ask him to take a look or give you an estimate. Local potter Allen Griffin will be demonstrating his craft as well, and will have some of his work available for sale.
