Barbara Abernathy Lang, age 65, resident of 140 Davis Ridge Road, Shelby, NC died January 4, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House, Kings Mtn. NC.  She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Henry S. Abernathy and Rosa Mae Owens Abernathy. She was also preceded in death by son, Mikie Lang.    She was a homemaker.

SURVIVORS: Daughter-in-law: Amber Lang, Washington

Brother: Robert “Butch” Abernathy, Boiling Springs, NC

Sister: Renee Byars, Blacksburg, SC

3 Grandchildren: Haley Mae Lang, Jada Lynn Lang, and Shelby Mykel Lang.

Several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.
