Mrs. Barbara Allen Bridges, 78, resident of 618 Dixon School Road, Kings Mountain, NC passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.
Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin M. Allen and Maude Weathers Allen; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Bobby C. Bridges of Kings Mtn., NC; 2 sons, John “Eddie” Bridges of Ft. Mill, SC and C. Kevin Bridges and wife Trudy of Kings Mtn., NC; 1 daughter, Diana Bridges of Kings Mtn., NC; 1 brother, Wiley Allen of Kings Mtn., NC; 1 sister, Freida Hawkins of Shelby, NC; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
