Barbara Byers, age 80, of Mooresboro, died December 20, 2015 at her residence.
Born February 9, 1935 in Spartanburg County, SC she was a daughter of the late Leo Hill and Mazie Humphries Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Byers; brothers, Bobby Hill, Gerald Hill; sister, Brenda Scruggs; and granddaughter, Brandy Griffin.
Survivors include her sons, Matthew Byers and wife Shannon of Mooresboro, Randy Byers and wife Jeannie of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter, Beth Byers of Bostic; brother, Johnny Hill and wife Viola of Harris. She is also survived by nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Don McIntyre and Reverend Raymond Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
