Barbara Cooper, 84, of Wilson Drive, Lawndale, passed away Monday, July 13,
2015 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

She was born in Boone County, West Virginia, on June 13, 1931 to the late
Jehu Hill and Dewey Boyles Hill. She was retired from American Safety.
Barbara loved to crochet and work in her garden as while her health allowed.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers,
Elmer Hill, Gene Hill, and Lyle Hill and sister, Phyllis Hager.

She is survived by her son Mickey Cooper and Deborah Woods of Lawndale;
grandchildren, Valerie Lattimore and husband John of Lawndale and Ricky
Cooper; three great grandchildren, Justin Lattimore, Matthew Lattimore, and
Lexi Cooper; and sister Jeraldene Hutchinson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. At other times
the family will be at the home of Valerie & John Lattimore, 335 E. Main
Street, Lawndale, NC 28090.

The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Mr. Fred Towery and Rev. Lloyd
Hunt officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
