Barbara Greene Henderson, age 74, of Ellenboro, NC, went home to be with her Savior, Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born December 21, 1939 in Rutherford County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Renzo Greene and Verdia Biggerstaff Greene. She was a faithful Christian and enjoyed working on puzzles and especially loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Greene and David Greene.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Harold Henderson; three daughters, Kayren Cole and husband, Ernie of Ellenboro, Melinda Medford of Ellenboro and Susie Baynard and husband, Shane of Rutherfordton; two sons, David Henderson and wife, Kathy of Ellenboro and Sam Henderson and wife, Shelly of Bostic; two sisters, Dorothy Coker and husband, Frank of Bostic and Kay Watts and husband, Theron of Ellenboro. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Henderson, Reverend Sam Henderson and Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery in Chesnee, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
