Barbara Hughey Mullinax, 78, of 124 Eastview Street, passed away on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Clyde Mullinax and the daughter of the late Boyd and Kathleen Gordon Hughey. Barbara was a homemaker and was a member of True Gospel Independent Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Mullinax are her children, Libby Ragstole (Lee), Clyde Mullinax (Deanna), Sarah Daniels, and Brian Mullinax; her brothers, Roger Hughey (Debra) and Rickey Hughey (Claudia); her sisters, Sandra Frady (Arthur), Julie Cooper (Donnie), and Frances Young (Ted); eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Pete Daniels, and her siblings, Vickie Shelton, Carolyn Calvert, Linda Mullinax, and Dean Jones.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Will Vergara and Mr. Lee Ragstole Jr. officiating. Special music will be by Briana Bolin. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Brian Bolin, BJ Rodgers, Arthur Frady, Jason Franklin, Jimmy Short, and Brian Ruppe will serve as pallbearers.
