| Barbara Jean Purvis, 65, of 110 Philbeck St., Shelby, NC, and formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, died October 25, 2014, at Wendover Hospice House, Shelby, NC. Born in Gaffney, SC, she was married to the late James Lee Purvis and was a daughter of the late Edward Hote and Margaret Horne Parker.
She is survived by her daughter - Jo Ann Jones and husband, Wayne, of Gaffney, SC; her son - Mark Ervin Ramsey of Blacksburg, SC; two sisters - Dorothy Hollifield and Linda Weathers both of Gaffney, SC; two brothers - Steven Parker and Johnny Parker; and one granddaughter - Heather Ramsey.
The family will be at their respective homes. No service will be held.
