Barbara Mildred Wilson Dover, 87, of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Wendover Hospice.

A native of Cleveland County, she was born September 25, 1938 to the late Joseph and Addis Wilson.

Barbara worked for a number of years as a Patient Volunteer Coordinator for Cleveland County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald D. Dover; sister, Phyllis; and brother-in-law, Thomas.

Survivors include her son, Jeff and his children, Alex, Lyonne, Leona, Laila, and Luka; daughter, Rachel and husband John, and their children, Dawn and Amanda; son, Robert, and their children, Raven and Forest; and great-grandchildren, Kannon and Lucas.

The family will receive friends at the Cecil Burton Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, June 29, 2026.
