Barbara Wilson Slone, 72, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at home.  Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Austell and Violet Naomie Farris Wilson.  Barbara was retired from Ora Mills.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Barbara is survived by her significant other, James Keith Lloyd; daughter, Cynthia Slone Carver of Cherryville; sons, Michael Charles Slone of Mooresboro and Rocky Lee Slone of Columbus, NC; 5 sisters; 3 brothers; 10 grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Chapel of Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Rev. Kevin Mathis will be officiating.
