KINGS MOUNTAIN- Barry "Uncle BaBa" Rhames, 35, passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, August 19, 2018. Born in Mecklenburg Co., he was the son of Tinna Helms and husband Roger of Kings Mountain and Mark Rhames of Charlotte. He was a loving husband, father and son who truly put his family first in every way. He was a jack of all trades who could fix anything and would help anyone in any way he could. He loved the outdoors, especially riding his Harley Softail "Belle".

PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Clarence and Geneva Whetstine and Paul and Lessie Ledford; and great aunt Carolyn Whetstine.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Nikki Hartman Rhames, of the home; son Alex Rhames; brother Davie Rhames of Gastonia; stepbrother Dean Helms of Clover; step sister Tonda Helms of Clover; grandparents David and Pat Whetstine of Kings Mountain; Cousin Trey Roper and little Whitney of Grover; great Aunt Diane Whetstine of Kings Mountain; Uncle Bobby Whetstine of Charlotte; father-in-law Mike Hartman of Vale; brother-in-law Mikie Hartman of Shelby; nephew Brentley Hartman; niece Karsyn Stroup; and best friend of 20 years, Colt McAbee.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain
