Barry Wayne Blackburn, Sr., 66, 544 Belwood Lawndale Rd, Lawndale, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wendover.
He was born on September 2, 1946, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Charles Palmer Blackburn and Dorothy Blackburn. He was employed by IDG in industrial sales customer service and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lawndale.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Blackburn.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Blackburn, Lawndale, NC, son Barry Blackburn, Jr. of Shelby; daughter, Wendy Papineau and husband Kenny of Lawndale; and two grandchildren, Amanda Patterson and Lindsey Patterson.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2013, First United Methodist Church of Lawndale.
