KINGS MOUNTAIN- Bernece Tessneer Glass, 83, passed away Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Zadie and Mae Towery Tessneer. She was a 1950 Graduate of Tryon High School in Bessemer City. She retired from Gaston County Schools as Finance Coordinator.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Donald D. Glass; her second husband James M. Hayes; her Paternal grandparents,, William R. and Anna Short Tessneer; her Maternal grandparents, W.J. and Nelia Panther Towery.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her step son Dale Hayes and wife Angie of Shelby; two step granddaughters, Stephanie Ivie of Shelby, Kim DeVine and husband David of Lawndale; four step great grandchildren, Spencer, Emma, Peyton DeVine and Meah Ivie; several cousins.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am. Friday at Mountain Rest Cemetery

VISITATION: the family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
