Bertha Cleo Brackett Dellinger
 Bertha Cleo Brackett Dellinger, 103, of Poplar Springs Church Rd, passed away at Carillon Assisted Living on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

She was born in Cleveland County on September 1, 1908, to the late A.W. Brackett and Hattie Boggs Brackett.  She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Kadesh United Methodist Church where she was their oldest member.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Lawrence Dellinger; two brothers, Thomas “Dude” Brackett and Joseph Brackett; three sisters, Blanche Peeler, Ola Ivester, and Lona Stroup Penny; son-in-law, Don Elmore; daughter-in-law, Nora Dellinger; and one grandchild, George Wayne Dellinger.

She is survived by four sons, William Robert Dellinger  and wife Carolyn of Statesville, Edward Gene Dellinger of Cherryville, Wyatt Wilson Dellinger and wife Brenda of Shelby, and Charles Lemuel Dellinger of Shelby; two daughters, Beryl Dellinger Elmore of Lawndale and Ruth Dellinger Osborne and husband Marty of Shelby; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, NC.  Condolences may be made online at www.stameyfuneralhome.com.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Friday at Kadesh United Methodist Church.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Officiating: Dr. Joe McMurry and Rev Stan Webb

Burial: Will follow in the church cemetery.
