Bethie Mayes Hardin Kitzmiller, age 93, resident of 302 Waco Road, Kings Mountain, NC left this life to enter her eternal life on January 10, 2011 at Summit Place, Kings Mtn. NC.  She was born in Caldwell Co, NC to the late Alfred and Lucy Mayes.  She was preceded in death by husband, Darwin Hardin, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.  She was a homemaker and charter member of East Kings Mountain Church of God, where she was Sunday School Secretary for many years.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to sing, walking at the Kings Mtn. Senior Center and visiting White Oak Manor.  She loved her God and her family dearly.

Sons: Gene Mayes and wife Shirley, Kings Mtn. NC

Clyde Hardin, Kings Mtn. NC

Daughters: Martha Weaver and husband Larry, Gastonia, NC

Gloria Heath and husband Rev. John Heath, Kings Mtn. NC

Step-Daughter: Carolyn Pruitt

Sister: Juanita Ramsey, Lincolnton, NC

12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: East Kings Mountain Church of God, Sunday, January 16, 2011  2:00 P.M.  Rev. John Heath, officiating.

VISITATION:  6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening, January 15, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
