Bettie Marie Rood Frederick, 74 of Shelby passed away, Monday, August 14,
2017 at Carolina Care in Cherryville.

Born September 3, 1942 in Herkimer County, New York, she was the daughter to
the late Clarence Rood and Viola Dygert Rood and numerous siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Frederick; three sons, Steven
Frederick and wife Denise of Casar, Mark Voorhees of Waco and Freddie
Voorhees of Waco; two stepdaughters, Loretta McKinley and husband Mike of
Ft. Drum, NY and Debbie Derby and husband Gaylord of Cedarville, NY; three
brothers, Kenny Rood, Gene Rood and Gordon Dygert; and numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
