Betty Curry Ward, 78, of 160 Sperling Drive, Shelby, passed away Thursday,
September 29, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
She was born in Cleveland County on September 29, 1933, to the late Robert
Stewart Curry and Hattie Mae Turney Curry. She was a member of Northside
Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her three husbands
Carl J. Brackett, Hugh Lee Martin and William Ward and brother, James Curry.
She is survived by her three sons, Dale Brackett and wife Grace of Shelby,
Curtis Brackett and wife Glenda of Mooresboro, and Ricky Brackett and
fiancee Gail Hasting of Delight; two brothers, Leroy Curry of Gainsville, GA
and Doyle Curry of Grover; and four grandchildren, Michael Brackett, Justin
Brackett, Scott Brackett and Connor Brackett.
Visitation, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Sunday, Northside Baptist Church, Shelby.
