Betty Jean Cochran

Betty Jean Cochran age 82 died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Peak Resources of Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on August 30, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Jarvis Pearson and Verdie Blanton Pearson. Betty was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and the former owner of the Wagon Wheel restaurant as well as the Wagon Wheel Beauty Salon. She greatly enjoyed scoping out yard sales always keeping an eye out for something special for members of her family. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Franklin Cochran Sr. her sister, Doris Bright and two brothers Irvin Pearson and Obie Pearson.

Betty is survived by her son Frankie (Sherry) Cochran and her daughter Leslie (Michael) Duncan both of Boiling Springs. One sister, Thelma Barnette of Charlotte. Three Brothers; Bill (Elaine) Pearson of Boiling Springs, Gerald (Joyce) Pearson of Boiling Springs and Dan (Jackie) Pearson of Shelby. Grandchildren; Lindsey Cochran, Jarvis Duncan and special friend Bethany Davis, Jesse Duncan and special friend Cassie Murray, Dalton Cochran and fiancée Brandy Faulkner, Makala Cochran, Logan Cochran, Steven Damian Cochran, Cheyenne Cochran, and Claire Horn. Great-grandchildren, Noah Levi Duncan and Violet Marie Duncan and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Dixon officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the day of the service.
