Betty Jo Smith Hull, 84, of W. Hwy 27, Vale, passed away Saturday, December
2, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.

Born in Lincoln County on May 26, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Craig
Smith and Alda Lee Hull Smith. She was a homemaker and was a member of
Hull's Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Max Hull
and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her son, Kelly Hull of Vale; two daughters, Maxine
Leatherman and husband, Clarence and Joan Hull all of Vale; two sisters,
Frances Tallent and Judy Lackey both of Morganton; four grandchildren, Brian
Leatherman, Josh Leatherman, Kayla Hull, and Johnny Laws; six great
grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday at Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church.

The celebration of life service will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday at Mt. Vernon
Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating.
