Betty Johnson Neighbors, formerly of Kings Road in Shelby, NC passed away peacefully Thursday morning at the age of 69.

She was born February 4, 1955 to the late Frances and A.C. Johnson of Gaffney. Betty was married to the late Clifford Eugene Neighbors for 44 years before his death in 2021. She was first married to the late Larry Tindall.
Betty worked for many years as a waitress and was beloved by her customers at her sister and brother-in-law's restaurant - Ken and Mary's in Shelby. With her loving personality and affectionate smile, Betty never met a stranger. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family and friends, exercising and listening to music- especially classic rock.
Betty took great pride in her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Nana."
Betty is survived by a daughter, Chasity Tindall Hamrick (fiancé Kevin Coyle) of Cowpens, SC, stepson Shawn Neighbors of Cliffside, NC, six grandchildren, Bryce Hamrick, Brock Hamrick, Brynn Hamrick, Tindall Batchler, Kindall Batchler, and Miranda Neighbors, and two great grandchildren, Izaak Degree and Ian Degree.
Also surviving are brothers Jimmy Johnson, Bobby (Gay) Johnson, and a sister Maryann (Ken) Donaldson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lilian Childers, and brothers Earl Johnson and Barry Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 6:00PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 6:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating.
