RUTHERFORDTON: Betty Smith Jolly, 90, went to Glory Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Fair Haven of Forest City. A native of Cleveland Co., she was born to the late Washington and Mary Glenn Smith. She loved flowers, reading and quilting.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, husband J. Clyde Jolley; son, Billy Jackson Jolley; sister, Ruth Crilley; brothers Paul, Glen, Bill, and George Smith.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter Bertha Allison and husband Larry of Green Creek; 2 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Richard Stroup

BURIAL: will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: The family requests no flowers but donations to their favorite charity.
