Betty W. Hensley, age 82, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Betty was born August 22, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Ernest Grayson Ward and Birdie Mae Moore Ward. She worked as an agent for Blanton-Flack Insurance Agency for many years and was a longtime member of Caroleen United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Hensley and two brothers, Billy Lee Ward and Bobby Grayson Ward.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Todd Hensley and wife, Donna of Ellenboro and a grandson, Adam Hensley also of Ellenboro. She is also survived by a longtime friend, P.G. Jolley of Mooresboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Norma Roberts and Mr. Jerry Pannell officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
Memorial donations are requested to the Caroleen United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 187, Caroleen, NC 28019.
