| Beverly Holt Bumgarner, 75, of 709 Annieline Drive in Shelby, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at home. She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late George Allen and Grace Martin Holt. She was also preceded in death by her stepson Bob Bumgarner. Mrs. Bumgarner was a former receptionist for Plaster Family Dentistry. She loved collecting elephants.
Mrs. Bumgarner was survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Rantie O. Bumgarner; step-daughter, Theresa Brill of Boiling Springs; step-son, Randy O. Bumgarner of Boiling Springs; brother, Randy Holt and wife Sharon of Shelby; sisters, Abby Hamrick and husband Michael of Shelby and Susan Holt of Shelby; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service celebrating the life of Mrs. Bumgarner will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby. The Rev. Dr. Thomas Steagald will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30am prior to the service at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby.
