BIBLE: Mercy
The lawyer said, “I will get you justice”.  The patient replied, “I do not want justice.  I need mercy and I want to come clean”.  If each one of us today would declare to the Lord that we need mercy, there would not be as many in lockups, jails, and prisons.  All must be sanctified by the Lord.  His Holy wishes can relax us into peace and accountability.  Read Exodus 33-19:  “And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
Psalm says that the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  Upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto their children’s children.  Mercy can be used when applied in the right Christian way as in the name of the Lord with loving care.  Mercy applied in the name of the Lord has His blessing added to the intentions.
The Book of Hosea writes about mercy.  Hosea 2:23 says “And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people.  Thou art my people and they shall say thou art my God.  Isaiah 48-9 talks about our God at that time showing His patience.  He says for my names sake will I defer mine anger and for my praise will I refrain for thee that I cut thee not.  He also says in my wrath I smote thee; but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.  What a lesson for us to learn to never tempt our Lord and Savior.  I have had stories told to me; many things that turn up bad.
We, today, have a better chance at receiving our Lord’s blessing because He can glorify Himself in a person.  Jesus as Lord glorifies himself in a designated person, that has testified themselves to being reborn by being filled with the Holy Ghost.  Jesus’ resurrected spirit that he told the disciples that God would send as a comforter.  And what a comforter it is. When the time is right, have patience.  With mercy, the best is yet to come.
