Bible Study: Do I Have Hope?
Hope is the most over looked word in serving a living Lord. No one but you knows the strength of your Hope. When you apply hope in it’s right place and the Lord sees what you are willing to go for, then you are in the right frame of mind to please your Saviour, and action has already begun for you. It started the day you were saved, reborn in to the arms of your new spiritual Father. Proverbs says the wicked is driven away in his wickedness but the righteous hath Hope in his death, which is Christ in you, your Hope of Heaven. Because we believe in God and Jesus as one. Jesus says when you see me you see the Father. He can say and tell the truth, said my Father and I are one. It may come as a surprise to you, Jesus wants to say the same thing about the reader and him. Now the reader can say I hope so, with strength. If Christ is living in you, then you have the Hope of Glory, and Heaven is just down the road a few breaths. The book says waiting on the Promise Land, whose builder and maker is God. Have we check on our faith lately? Remember that Faith is a personal gift of the Saviour. Faith and Salvation work together and the winner is the speaker. 1 Peter 2:1 says: “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings”. I hope that both the writer and reader now stands clear of any kind of sin. Why? There will not be one that can get into Heaven. As the Word says, Godly sorrow worketh repentance not to be repenting of. It worked for David of old, and Christ had not come yet. So they could only be counted righteous. Now with Jesus Risen and on your side you can have the True Righteousness. Do not put too much trust in water baptism. Do not partake in the water baptism, the same with the Lord’s Supper, until you have been reborn-saved by Jesus as your Lord. They both are now a testimony to what has happened to you. No saving grace in either of them. Some churches lead their people way off base on these two things.
