Bible Study: Holy Ghost Baptistm
The blessing of Holy Ghost Baptism gets a lot of criticism. The big boys say “let’s do away with that holy ghost stuff and just say holy spirit”, which they have in a lot of their bibles. They teach that they are the same, so let’s leave out H.G. They still try to teach a risen Christ. So the result is, you can’t tell the church goers from the ones who don’t go.
Statement: the Comforter is Jesus in Holy Ghost Spirit. John 14:16 says: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;” Jesus is now with us, as born again children of God. Jesus told the deciples that they were not of the world, today we refer as saved people. They received the Holy Ghost Baptism, or filling, in full that day at Pentecost, as in Acts 2:4: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” It is recorded for our benefit, that Jesus did get what he asked for from God the Father, himself to work on the earth only through the Holy Ghost after his resurrection. After  someone has been reborn or saved they claim his sacrifice that day on Mt. Calvary or Golgotha. They crucified him and the malefactors, one on the right hand and the  other on the left. After both had mocked Jesus with their mouth, one repented and asked to be remembered and Jesus said “today thou shall be with me in Paradise”, an exchangable word for Heaven.
If you are interested, Abraham’s bosom was not mentioned to the thief on the cross. Read Luke 16:20-28.
Some try to do good to go to Heaven. Work is good, if it follows being born again by the Saviour. Not by going through a class and joining the church, and still a sinner. I am afraid that we have some churches full of this kind of members and won’t have a change.
I have heard one say we all know we are Christians because Grandma told us we were (when we were small), and that was her testimony for the Saviour. Preachers need to get out and move around and find out what is going on in the world. I really don’t know how some preachers handle Hebrews 12:14 where Paul writes: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” Holiness and no man or person is permissible. If this is not enough to wake you up, you are in bad trouble with your Saviour.
