Bible Study: Hope
In the English language, we use the word HOPE very recklessly. The Good Bible, not so. 1 John 3:3 says: (speaking of Jesus) “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure”. We sin every day, and then at night say “now Lord, you forgive me of my many sins”, and in that day we had not done one thing that took rebuke from a TRUE AND LOVING LORD. 1 Peter 1:13 says: “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ”. Proverbs 14:32 says: “The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death”. The righteous confesses what his Lord and SAVIOR has done for him and in favor his Lord grants him the ticket to heaven, namely SALVATION. No salvation, no heaven. Paul wrote which is Christ in you, the HOPE of glory. He also wrote for the HOPE that is laid  up for you in heaven that you have heard before in the word of truth, THE GOSPEL. Sin lies at the door of the wicked, but never at the door of the Righteous and HOLY. Why is this true? One that granted Lucifer his wish but limited him his power is master of all. Well glory! We have all heard and sang the song, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness”. Look  up Psalms 42:11: Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. The writer has explored the word  HOPE for the reader and much more can be said. Read this over a couple of times and ask YOUR LORD TO HELP YOU. If from the HEART, He will.
