Bible Study: Lust
Down through the ages lust has been talked about. I have noticed some would get real mad if you accused them of lusting. There are many things to lust for. The question arises, is all sin to a true and loving saviour? Matt. 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery. Matthew 5:28  - But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery already in his heart. Sin, yes...
You read Proverbs 6:25 through 29. I Peter 2:11 says, Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. Lust for anything of the world can get you in trouble with the Lord.
You want a pure heart? Then flee all lusts of the flesh, why? They each war against the flesh and can put your soul in hell. (No lust.) Then you can call on the Lord with a pure heart. When you lay down at night you can be sure if the Lord sees fit to call - you will be transferred into a better place to live - named Heaven.
Now, don’t forget that the Lord expects you to testify of what He does for you and He will grant you salvation. Look at salvation as your ticket to Heaven. That is God’s way and no person or denomination has any right to try to change it - although they do. Just be sure that you get started off right - get a red letter King James Bible and with your Lord’s help, He will guide you on the right path to Heaven.
